Hozirgi zamon tsitologiyasida Xromatin deb interfazadagi xromosoma moddasi tushuniladi. Xromatin tarkibiga dezoksiribonuklein kislota (DNK) (30\u2014 40%), ribonuklein kislota (RNK), gistonlar va giston bo&#8217;lmagan oqsillar kiradi.
