O. Shtern amalga oshirgan (1920). Gazlarning kinetik nazariyasi asoslari to&#8217;g&#8217;riligini asoslagan. Tajribada sirti kumush qatlami bilan qoplangan platina simni elektr toki bilan qizdirilganda kumush atomlarining bug&#8217;lanishi natijasida hosil bo&#8217;lgan gazdan foydalanilgan. Bug&#8217;langan kumush atomlari qarshiliksiz harakatlanishi uchun qizdiriladigan sim havosi so&#8217;rib olingan idishga joylashtirilgan. Atomlar dastasini hosil qilish uchun ularning yo&#8217;liga ingichka tirqishli to&#8217;siq qo&#8217;yilgan.
