Shim. yarim sharning mo&#8221;tadil mintaqalarida 100 ga yaqin turi o&#8217;sadi. Mevasi 2-5 uyli mayda olma. Ayniqsa, ko&#8217;proq oddiy P. (S.aucuparia) ekiladi. Daraxti (balandligi 15 metrgacha) yoki butasining po&#8217;stlog&#8217;i silliq, kulrang, mevasi yumaloqsharsimon, qizil. Qushlar uchun oziq hisoblanadi. Mevasi tarkibida 4-8% qand (fruktoza, glyukoza, Saxaroza), 2,7% gacha olma, limon, uzum va qahrabo ktalari, pektin va oshlovchi moddalar, askorbin kta (200 mg% gacha), karotin (20 mg%) va vitamin RR mavjud.
