Raketalar dinamikasining nazariy asoslari 19-asr oxiri, 20-asr boshlarida yaratildi, 20-asr 40-yillari oxiridan jadal rivojlana boshladi. Bo&#8217;limlari: 1) raketalarning og&#8217;irlik markazi harakatini o&#8217;rganish; bunda traektoriyalarga oid masalalar nazariyasi yaratiladi; 2) raketalar harakatini og\u2019irlik markaziga nisbatan o&#8217;rganish; bunda kosmik kemalarni kosmosda tutashtirish, raketalarni boshqarish, mo&#8217;ljalga to&#8217;g&#8217;rilash va boshqa masalalar hal qilinadi; 3) eksperimental Raketalar dinamikasi; bunda raketalar harakatini tadqiq qilishning eksperimental usullari o&#8217;rganiladi. Raketalar dinamikasida optik va radiotexnik asboblar, kompyuterlar qo&#8217;llaniladi, ehtimoliy jarayonlar nazariyasidan foydalaniladi. Raketalar dinamikasining asosiy vazifalaridan biri \u2014 dvigateli ishlab turgan raketalarning harakat qonunlarini o&#8217;rganish. Raketa uchayotganda yonilg&#8217;i yonishi tufayli massasi ancha kamayadi. Masalan, bir bosqichli raketalar tezlik olish (start) paytida dastlabki og&#8217;irligining 90% ini yo&#8217;qotadi.
