Kinematografning dastlabki davridanoq tasvirni ovoz bilan ko&#8217;rsatishga intilishlar bo&#8217;lgan: musiqa jo&#8217;rligidan foydalanilgan (pianino, orkestr va boshqalar), film ishtirokchilarining ovozi, qo&#8217;shiqlari va shu kabilarni tasvirga binoan ijro etuvchi aktyorlar jalb etilgan. 19-asr oxiri \u2014 20-asr boshlarida film ovoz bilan sinxron ravishda qayd etilishiga imkon beruvchi qurilma yaratishga harakat qilingan. Buning uchun T. Edison kinetofoni (AQSh, 1899), D. Gomon xronefoni (Frantsiya, 1901), grammofon plastinkalaridan foydalanilgan. Ammo sinxronlikka tasvir va fotografiyaga ovoz yozish uslubini kinolentada birga qo&#8217;shib yozish va uni takomillashtirish natijasidagina erishildi. Ovozli kino tizimi 20-asrning 20-yillarida yuzaga keldi (AQSh, Rossiya, Germaniyada). O&#8217;zbekiston kinosida Ovozli kino davrini &#8220;Qasam&#8221; filmi (1937, rejissyor A.
