Asosi geometrik abstraktsio nizmga borib taqaladi. Asoschisi Fransuz rassomi V. Vazareli (Vasharxey), 40-yillarning 2-yarmida shu san&#8217;atning dastlabki namunalarini yaratgan. &#8220;Op-Art&#8221; vakillari rang-tasvirlarida oddiy Geometrik shakllarning ko&#8217;p marotaba ta- krorlanishi hisobiga go&#8217;yo ular o&#8217;z o&#8217;rnini va holatini o&#8217;zgartirayotganga, harakatga kelayotganga o&#8217;xshab ko&#8217;rinishini va shu holat tomoshabinda ma&#8217;lum tuyg&#8217;ular uyg&#8217;otishini asoslamoqchi bo&#8217;ladilar.
