P.k. ertapishar Pekin karami, o&#8217;simlik. Urug&#8217;dan unib chiqqach, 18-25 kunda barglarini iste&#8217;- mol qilish mumkin, 40-45 kunda bar- glari, 50-60 kunda karamboshi pishadi. Barg tarkibida 75 \u2014 80 mg% vitamin S, 6,1-8,6 % quruq moddalar, 1\u2014 1,5% qand bor. Tuzlanadi, marinadla-nadi, konservalar tayyorlanadi. O&#8217;zbekistonda yozning 2yarmida ekiladi. Hosildorligi 200\u2014 300 ts\/ga. P.k. issiqxonalarda ham ko&#8217;p o&#8217;stiriladi, hosildorligi har m2 da 4-7 kg ni tashkil etadi. O&#8217;zbekistonda P.k.ning Xibinskaya navi ekiladi.
