Zichligi 7,44 g\/sm3. 100\u00b0 t-ragacha qizdirilganda elementlarga ajraladi, 110\u00b0 da portlaydi. K.ga yoki Ag2O ga ozon ta&#8217;sir ettirib, K.ni sulfat kislotada anodli oksidlantirib olinadi. Galva- nik elementlarda qo&#8217;llanadi. K., asosan, tarkibida kumush va qo&#8217;rg&#8217;oshin bor rudalardan ajratib oli- nadi. Kumush qotishmalari tanga pul, zargarlik va uy-ro&#8217;zg&#8217;or buyumlari, lab. idishlari i.ch.da, elektrotexnikada, tuz- lari fotografiyada ishlatiladi. K. bu &#8211; yumlar tayyorlash uchun 875 probali ku- mush, ya&#8217;ni tarkibida 87,5% K. va 12,5% mis bo&#8217;lgan qotishma ishlatiladi. Kimyo- da K. kattalizator sifatida qo&#8217;llanadi. Tibbiyotda K.ning argirol, protargol, kollargol, lyapis kabi preparatlardan foydalaniladi.
