Past voltli K. anodidati yo&#8217;l qo&#8217;yiladigan teskari kuchlanish 2 kv gacha, to&#8217;g&#8217;ri tok kuchi bir necha amperta teng; yuqori voltli K.da teskari kuch- lanish 100 kv gacha, to&#8217;g&#8217;ri tok kuchi 500 ma gacha bo&#8217;ladi. Birinchisida cho&#8217;g&#8217;lanma katod, qoraytirilgan yoki xiralashtiril- gan anodlar (ko&#8217;pincha 2 ta), ikkinchisi- da oksidlangan katod va qoraytirilgan anod (bitta) bo&#8217;ladi. K.da cho&#8217;g&#8217;lama katod qizib elektronlar chiqargani tufayli u tokni faqat bir yo&#8217;nalishda o&#8217;tkazadi. Katodi cho&#8217;g&#8217;lanmaydigan K.da faollash- gan katoddagi avtoemissiya (elektronlar chiqarish) hisobiga tok o&#8217;tadi. K. radio- priyomniklar, kuchaytirish va o&#8217;lchash apparatlari, rentgen qurilmalari va asboblardagi to&#8217;g&#8217;rilagichlar (o&#8217;zgaruvchan tokni o&#8217;zgarmas tokka aylan- tiruvchi qurilmalar) da qo&#8217;llaniladi. Yarimo&#8217;tkazgichlar texnikasi taraqqiy etishi munosabati b-n past voltli K. o&#8217;rniga yarimo&#8217;tkazgichli diodlar ishlati- la boshladi.
