K.ning ko&#8217;p tarqalgan turlari \u2014 oltin- Gugurtli kolchedan \u2014 FeS2 (pirit), mis kolchedani \u2014 CuFeS2 (xalkopirit) va b. K. qattiq, metalldek yaltiroq, murakkab kompleksli rudadir. Pirit tarkibida 53,4% oltingugurt, 46,6% temir mav- jud. K. konlari turli geologik jarayon- lar, mas, magmaning kristallanishida (mis-nikelli kolchedan) va skarnlarntsng paydo bo&#8217;lishida (mis, oltin kolchedani) hosil bo&#8217;ladi. K. vulkan mintaqalari orasida uzunligi bir necha ming km li uyumlar hosil qiladi. Vulkan otilishi- dan chiqqan eritmalar katta mikdorda metallarni olib chiqadi, ular oltin- gugurt bug&#8217;lari b-n birikib sulfidli K. konlarini hosil qiladi. Kolchedan konlari dunyo bo&#8217;yicha keng tarqalgan. O&#8217;zbekistonda (Olmaliq) polimetall, qo&#8217;rg&#8217;oshin, mis-rux va b. kolchedan kon- lari bor. K. metallurgiya sanoati uchun muhim ahamiyatga ega. Piritdan, asosan, oltingugurt k-tasi olishda foydalani- ladi.
