Er sun&#8217;iy yo&#8217;ldoshlari va kosmik kemalar bortiga gamma-nurlarni qayd qiluvchi asboblar o&#8217;rnatib, ular vositasida kosmik fazoni tekshirish mumkin. Kosmik nurlar (proton va og&#8217;ir atom yadrolari) yulduzlararo gaz atomlari yadrolari b-n to&#8217;qnashganda kosmik gamma-nurlar hosil bo&#8217;ladi. G.-a. gamma-nurlarni hosil qiluvchi zarralarning kosmik fazoda tarqalishini o&#8217;rganadi, yulduzlararo muhitdagi gazlar zichligini aniklaydi. Kuzatishlarga ko&#8217;ra 1 m2 yuzaga 1 s da energiyasi 50 MeV dan ortiq bo&#8217;lgan 10 ta foton tushadi. Quyoshda portlash yuz berganda energiyasi 0,5 MeV li nurlar hosil bo&#8217;lishi ham aniklandi.
