Asoslik va amfoterlik xossalariga ega bo&#8217;lishi mumkin. Ishqoriy, ishqoriy-er metal- lar va Te(1) g.i ishqorlar deyiladi. Eritmaning muhitiga qarab ham kis- lota, ham asos xossasiga ega bo&#8217;lgan. G.: Zn(OH)2, Be(OH)2, Ga(OH)3, A1(on)3, Sn(OH)2, Pb(OH)2 va b. amfoter g. deyiladi. Ular kislotalar ta&#8217;siri- da tuzlar, kuchli asoslar ta&#8217;sirida esa gidroksokomplekslar hosil qiladi. Mas, rux gidroksidi kislota b-n ham, asos b-n ham reaktsiyaga kirishadi. G. i (LiOH dan tashqari) qizdirilganda suyuqlanadi, boshqa G. esa, jumladan LiOH ham parcha- lanadi, mas, Cu(OH)2 -&#8221; CuO+H2O. G. metall oksidlarini suv b-n birikti- rib olinadi. Ba&#8217;zi element oksidlari suvda erimaganligi sababli ularning G.ini olish uchun tualariga ishqor ta&#8217;sir ettiriladi. Deyarli hamma elementlar- ning g.i aniqlangan.
