Toshkent universitetining jurnalistika fakultetini tugatgan (1963). \u00abYosh gvardiya\u00bb nashriyotida muharrir (1963\u201467), Muqimiy nomidagi musiqali drama teatrida adabiy emakdosh (1967\u201469), \u00abGuliston\u00bb (1969\u201475) va \u00abSharq yulduzi\u00bb (1978\u201480) jurnallarida adabiy xodim, bo\u2018lim mudiri bo\u2018lib ishlagan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shukur Xolmirzayevning dastlabki hikoya va ocherklari 1958 yildan nashr etila boshlagan. Shukur Xolmirzayev ijodining ilk davridayoq hikoya bilan bir qatorda qissa janrida ham kalam tebratib, \u00abOq otli\u00bb (1962), \u00abTo\u2018lqinlar\u00bb (1963), \u00abO\u2018n sakkizga kirmagan kim bor?\u00bb (1965) qissalarini yaratdi. Bu asarlar 60-yillardagi o\u2018zbek qissalarining eng yaxshi namunalaridan bo\u2018lib qoldi. Yozuvchining shu davrda yozgan hikoyalari keyinchalik \u00abOlis yulduzlar ostida\u00bb (1971), \u00abHayot abadiy\u00bb (1974), \u00abOg\u2018ir tosh ko\u2018chsa\u2026\u00bb (1980), \u00abYo\u2018llar, yo\u2018ldoshlar\u00bb (1984), \u00abBodom qishda gulladi\u00bb (1986), \u00abTog\u2018larga qor tushdi\u00bb (1987) singari to\u2018plamlaridan o\u2018rin oldi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shukur Xolmirzayevning hikoya va qissalarida, bir tomondan, yoshlik va talabalik yillarining o\u2018ziga xos romantikasi ifodalangan bo\u2018lsa, ikkinchi tomondan, yozuvchi tug\u2018ilib o\u2018sgan Boysun tumanida yashovchi turfa tabiatli kishilar hayoti, jamiyatda va ular ruhiy olamida kechgan kurash va o\u2018zgarishlar o\u2018zining badiiy talqinini topdi. Keyinchalik Boysun va boysunliklar hayoti Shukur Xolmirzayev ijodining asosiy mavzusi darajasiga ko\u2018tarilib, yozuvchi ijodida realistik tasvirning ustuvor yo\u2018nalishga aylanishida muhim omil bo\u2018ldi. Shukur Xolmirzayev voqelikdagi murakkab hayotiy jarayonlar va kishilarning ziddiyatlardan iborat ruhiy olamini kashf eta borgani sayin uning dastlabki hikoya va qissalaridagi romantik pafos endi o\u2018z o\u2018rnini realizmga bo\u2018shatib berdi va yozuvchining o\u2018zbek adabiyotiga \u00abshafqatsiz realizm\u00bb unsurlarini olib kirishiga imkoniyat yaratdi. Shukur Xolmirzayev 80\u201490-yillarda yaratgan asarlarida mazkur davrdagi jamiyat va xalq hayotining chuqur badiiy tahlilini berdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shukur Xolmirzayev \u00abSo\u2018nggi bekat\u00bb (1976), \u00abQil ko\u2018prik\u00bb (1984), \u00abYo\u2018lovchi\u00bb (1987), \u00abOlabo\u2018ji\u00bb (1992), \u00abDinozavr\u00bb (1-kitob, 1996) singari romanlarini yozdi. Shukur Xolmirzayevning \u00abSo\u2018nggi bekat\u00bb, \u00abYo\u2018lovchi\u00bb va \u00abOlabo\u2018ji\u00bb romanlarida sho\u2018ro jamiyatining 70\u201480-yillarga kelib ichdan yemirila boshlagani yorqin badiiy obrazlar orqali aks ettirildi. Bu romanlarda ko\u2018tarilgan ijtimoiy masala yozuvchining \u00abDinozavr\u00bb romanida o\u2018zining yangicha badiiy talqinini topdi. Sho\u2018ro davlatining xalqparvar davlat ekaniga, u olib borgan ichki va tashqi siyosat xalq va mamlakat manfaatiga xizmat qiluvchi siyosat ekaniga astoydil ishongan kishining hayoti va ruhiy olamidagi ziddiyatlar kurashi tasviri mazkur romanning markazida turadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shukur Xolmirzayev yozuvchilar orasida birinchilardan bo\u2018lib o\u2018zbek xalqi tarixining \u00abbosmachilik harakati\u00bb deb atab kelingan davrini o\u2018rgana boshladi. Yozuvchining \u00abQil ko\u2018prik\u00bb romani va \u00abQora kamar\u00bb (1987) pesasida shu mavzu o\u2018z ifodasini topdi. Ularda adashgan kishilar fojiasi obrazlarda yorqin gavdalantirilgan. Shukur Xolmirzayev pesasi asosida Abror Hidoyatov nomidagi Yoshlar teatrida sahnalashtirilgan \u00abQora kamar\u00bb spektakli yosh avlodda tarixiy o\u2018tmishga yangicha yondashish maylining paydo bo\u2018lishida muhim rol o\u2018ynadi. Shukur Xolmirzayev ing o\u2018zbek xotin-qizlarining sho\u2018ro davridagi fojiali taqdiriga bag\u2018ishlangan \u00abZiyofat\u00bb pesasi ham Yoshlar teatrida sahnalashtirilgan (1990).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shukur Xolmirzayev so\u2018nggi yillarda Sh. Burhonov, B. Zokirov, R. Choriyev, Shuhrat, O. Yoqubov, O\u2018. Umarbekov, A. Oripov, M. Qo\u2018shjonov singari taniqli adabiyot va san\u2019at namoyandalari haqida esselar va adabiy-tanqidiy maqolalar yozdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shukur Xolmirzayev \u2014 roman janrida bir qator asarlar yozgani va bu asarlar shu davr o\u2018zbek romannavisligi tarixida muayyan o\u2018ringa ega bo\u2018lishiga qaramay, avvalo hikoyanavis. U o\u2018z hikoyalarida A. Qodiriy, A. Qahhor kabi o\u2018zbek yozuvchilarining eng yaxshi an\u2019analarini davom ettirish bilan birga o\u2018zbek hikoyanavisligini rus va Yevropa yozuvchilarining badiiy tajribalari bilan ham boyitdi.
