Beknazarov 1925 yildan arman milliy kinematografiyasiga boshchilik qildi. Birinchi arman badiiy filmi &#8220;Nomus&#8221;ni yaratdi (1926, A. Shirvonzodaning shu nomli romani asosida, stsenariysi Beknazarovniki). Beknazarovning ovozsiz kino davrida yaratgan eng yaxshi filmlaridan yana biri &#8220;Vulkan ustidagi uy&#8221; (1929)dir. &#8220;Pepo&#8221; (1935), &#8220;Zangezur&#8221; (1938), &#8220;Davidbek&#8221; (1944), &#8220;Hovli to&#8217;yi&#8221; (1955, Abdulla Qahhor asari asosida), &#8220;Nasriddin Xo&#8217;jandda&#8221; (1960, stsenariysi Beknazarovniki, rejissyor E. Karamyan bilan hamkorlikda) kabi ovozli filmlarida Beknazarov o&#8217;ta iqtidorli rejissyor sifatida namoyon bo&#8217;ldi.
