Tabiiy va sun&#8217;iy radioaktiv yemirilishda, zaryadlangan zarralar tezlatkichlari (betatron, tsiklotron va boshqalar) da, atom reaktorlarida, rentgen apparatlarida radioaktiv nurlar sochiladi. Radiy kashf etilganidan so&#8217;ng radioaktiv moddalar r &#8211; va u &#8211; nurlarining tirik ob&#8217;yektlarga xuddi rentgen nurlari singari ta&#8217;sir kilishi aniqlandi. Rentgen, gamma (u), betta (R)-nurlanish va neytronlar dozasini o&#8217;lchashda ionlash kamerasi, &#8220;kaktus&#8221; rentgenometri, universal dozimetrlar ishlatiladi. Intensivligi kam nurlanish dozasini o&#8217;lchashda Geyger \u2014 Myuller hisoblagichi, laboratoriyada stsintillyatsiya hisoblagichi ishlatiladi. Dozimetriyaning fotografik usuli ham bor. U nurlar ta&#8217;sirida fotoplyonkaning qorayishiga asoslangan.
