Moskvadagi O&#8217;zbek opera studiyasini tugatgan (1939). 1933 yildan O&#8217;zbek davlat musiqali teatrida artist, 1939 yildan Navoiy nomidagi opera va balet teatri yakkaxoni. Mayin va shirali ovoz sohibi Dovidovning ijro uslubi Yevropa va milliy xonandalik an&#8217;analarining mutanosibligi bilan ajralib turadi. O&#8217;zbek operalaridan Naziriy (S. Boboev, &#8220;Hamza&#8221;), Olimjon (T. Sodiqov, D. Zokirov va boshqalar, &#8220;Zaynab va omon&#8221;) va ayniqsa hidoyat (S. Yudakov, &#8220;Maysaraning ishi&#8221;), shuningdek, Lenskiy (P. Chaykovskiy, &#8220;Yevgeniy Onegin&#8221;), Shuyskiy (M. Musorgskiy, &#8220;Boris Godunov&#8221;), Almaviva (J. Rossini, &#8220;Sevilya sartaroshi&#8221;) kabi partiyalarni mahorat bilan ijro etgan.
