Determinatsiya terminini nemis embriologi K. Gayder (1900) taklif qilgan. Hujayra materiali unga xos bo&#8217;lmagan joyga ko&#8217;chirilganida undan normal holatda ixtisoslashadigan organ paydo bo&#8217;lsa, determinlashgan hisoblanadi. Determinatsiya asosida informatsion ribonuklein kislotalar va oqsil molekulalarining sintezlanishiga olib keladigan ayrim genlarning faollashuvi yotadi.
