Birinchi milliy teatr asoschisi. Irland adabiyot akademiyasini tashkil etishda qatnashgan. Yets ijodi irland folklori bilan mustahkam aloqada rivojlangan: &#8220;Ossianning sarguzashtlari&#8221; (1889) dostoni, &#8220;sirli atirgul&#8221; (1897) she&#8217;riy to&#8217;plami va boshqalar. &#8220;Xulienning qizi Ketlin&#8221; (1902) pyesasida irland xalqining milliy ozodlik harakati qo&#8217;llab quvvatlangan. &#8220;Minora&#8221; (1928), &#8220;aylanma zina&#8221; (1933) she&#8217;riy to&#8217;plamlarida tushkunlik kayfiyati seziladi.
