Biroq u yaratgan benzinli dvigatelning yetarli katta tezlikka qurbi yetmas edi. Bu dvigatelning quvvati atigi yarim ot kuchiga ega edi. U havo bilan sovutilar va yog&#8217;ochdan qilingan ramaga birkitilgan edi. Birinchi motosikl motorli velosipedga o&#8217;xshab ketar edi. Lekin asta-sekin uning loyihasi o&#8217;zgarib borib, o&#8217;ziga xos transport turiga aylandi. Uning shassisi og\u2019irlashdi, g\u2019ildiraklari kichraytirildi va rezina oyoqlari kengaydi, tepkilari esa oyoq bilan bosiladigan shaklda o&#8217;zgartirildi. Motorining shovqinini pasaytirish uchun unga glushitel (ovozni pasaytiradigan moslama) o&#8217;rnatildi. Mashinaning tezligi oshirilgach, unda diskali tormoz ham paydo bo&#8217;ldi, shunday tormoz hozir ham qo&#8217;llanilmoqda. Motosiklning keyingi tormozi oyoq, oldingisi haydovchining qo&#8217;li bilan boshqariladi. Eng avvalo, dvigatel ikki taktli edi. Lekin oradan ko&#8217;p vaqt o&#8217;tmay to&#8217;rt taktli tormoz paydo bo&#8217;ldi. Uning hajmi 500 kub santimetrga yetkazildi. XX asrning 60-yillarida yanada og&#8217;ir vaznli motosikllar dunyoga keldi.
