Ulardan charxtosh, jilvir, qayroq va boshqalar tayyorlanadi. Abraziv materiallar tabiiy va sun&#8217;iy xillarga bo&#8217;linadi. Olmos, korund, kvars va boshqa tabiiy; elektr korund, kremniy karbid (karborund), bor karbidlar sun&#8217;iydir. Sanoatda sun&#8217;iy Abraziv materiallar keng qo&#8217;llaniladi. Sun&#8217;iy korund yoki elektr korund, asosan, alyuminiy (Sh)-oksiddan iborat, u tabiiy jinslar (giltuproq va boshqalar) ni elektr pechlarda eritib olinadi.
