Metall PM ga qalay, qo&#8217;rg&#8217;oshin, mis, rux, alyuminiy, ba&#8217;zi cho&#8217;yanlar asosidagi qotishmalar, metallmas PM ga ba&#8217;zi plastmassalar, yog&#8217;och asosidagi materiallar, grafit-ko&#8217;mir materiallar, rezinalar kiradi. Qalay yoki qo&#8217;rg&#8217;oshin asosidagi PM (babbitlar) po&#8217;lat (ba&#8217;zan, bronza) sirtiga quyilgan qatlam ko&#8217;rinishidagi podshipniklarda ishlatiladi. Mis asosidagi PM ga qalayli, qalay-qo&#8217;rg&#8217;oshinli bronzalar, ba&#8217;zi latunlar kiradi. Qalay yoki qo&#8217;rg&#8217;oshin asosidagi, mis asosidagi PM avtomobil podshipniklari tayyorlashda ishlatiladi. Rux asosidagi PM bronza o&#8217;rnida ishlatiladi. Alyuminiy asosidagi PM ichki yonuv dvigatellari podshipniklari uchun keng ishlatiladi. Perlitli kulrang cho&#8217;yan ma&#8217;lum mikrotuzilishda antifriktsion xossaga ega bo\u2019ladi va kichik zo\u2019riqishlar hamda kam tezliklarda ishlaydigan podshipniklar tayyorlash uchun ishlatiladi. Plastmassa asosidagi PM (tekstolit, yog&#8217;och shpon, qipiq to&#8217;ldirgichli) suv bilan namlanib turadigan, kichik aylanish chastotalarida ishlaydigan vallarning podshipniklarida ishlatiladi. Yogoch asosidagi PM, asosan, tabiiy yog&#8217;och va presslangan yog&#8217;ochdan tayyorlanib, ko&#8217;proq suvli joylarda ishlatiladi. Grafit-ko&#8217;mirli PM neft koksi bilan toshko&#8217;mir smolasi va ozroq tabiiy grafit aralashmasini presslab, so&#8217;ngra termik ishlov berib tayyorlanadi.
