Xloritlar va slyudalardan qattiqligi, mo&#8217;rtligi va optik xususiyatlari bilan farqlanadi. Ba&#8217;zi metamorfik slaneslar va kontaktli rogoviklarda jins hosil qiluvchi mineral hisoblanadi. Xloritoid najdak konlarida uchraydi. Korund, diaspor, xlorit, Margarit, kaltsit, rutil va anataz bilan assosiasiyada topiladi. O&#8217;zbekistonda Nurota, Molguzar tog\u2019larida uchraydi.
