Kaydalov asarlari milliy koloriti, hayot bo&#8217;yoqlar vositasida jozibali ifodalangani bilan diqqatga sazovor. Ijodi mavzu va janr jihatidan rang-barang. Dastlab gazeta va jurnal nashriyotlarida rassom bo&#8217;lib ishlab grafika usullarini o&#8217;rgandi. Taniqli kishilar (Y. Oxunboboyev, Hamza, S. Ayniy, G&#8217;. G&#8217;ulom, A. Hidoyatov va boshqalar, 1932\u2014 40) portretlarini yaratdi; 1940-47 yillarda Navoiy portretini yaratish ustida ishladi. Linogravyura (Oybek, 1974; O. Sobirova, 1977), ksilografiya (A. Qahhor, S. Borodin, 1980), Moybo&#8217;yoq (Navoiy, 1972 va boshqalar)da ijod qilib portret ustasi sifatida tanildi. Navoiyning &#171;Xamsa&#187;si (1948), ko&#8217;pgina ertak va dostonlar (&#171;O&#8217;zbek xalq ertaklari&#187;, &#171;Alpomish&#187;, &#171;qirq qiz&#187; va boshqalar) ga ishlagan bezaklari bilan O&#8217;zbekistonda kitob grafikasi rivojiga samarali ta&#8217;sir ko&#8217;rsatdi.
