Husayniy Sharq she&#8217;riyati masalalari bilan shug&#8217;ullanib, &#171;adabiyot bilimdoni&#187; sifatida tanilgan, muammo san&#8217;atida o&#8217;z davrining yagonasiga aylangan. Hirotning mashhur Ixlosiya, Sultoniya va boshqa madrasalarida dars bergan. Ilmi bade&#8217; bo&#8217;yicha keng va chuqur bilimga egaligi tufayli Alisher Navoiy e&#8217;tirofiga sazovor bo&#8217;lgan. Navoiy unga davlat hisobidan maosh ajratgan; o&#8217;z huzuriga chorlab, adabiyotshunoslik masalalari bo&#8217;yicha suhbatlar qurgan, badiiy san&#8217;atlarga doir asar yozishga da&#8217;vat qilgan. &#171;Badoyi&#8217; us-sanoyi'&#187; (&#171;badiiy san&#8217;aglar&#187;) asari ana shu da&#8217;vatlar natijasida vujudga kelgan (1493) va Alisher Navoiyga bag&#8217;ishlangan. Shuningdek, uning &#171;Risolai qofiya&#187; (&#171;qofiya haqida risola&#187;) asari ham mavjud. Bu asarlarda o&#8217;zigacha o&#8217;tgan adabiyotshunoslarning fikrlarini umumlashtirgan va rivojlantirgan. &#171;Ato&#187;, &#171;Atoiy&#187;, &#171;Atoulloh&#187; taxalluslari bilan she&#8217;rlar yozgan. Bu asar debocha, muqaddima, 3 san&#8217;at turi va xotimadan iborat: debocha kitobning yozilish sababi, muqaddima aruz vazni va zihoflari xususida bo&#8217;lib, 1-bobda 60 ta lafziy san&#8217;at, 2-bobda 63 ta ma&#8217;naviy san&#8217;at, 3-bobda 23 ta lafziyu ma&#8217;naviy san&#8217;at to&#8217;g&#8217;risida ma&#8217;lumot berilgan. Xotima 2 qismdan iborat: birinchisida she&#8217;rning ma&#8217;no bilan bog&#8217;liq illatlari haqida fikr yuritilib, 2-bobda 15 ta atamaga izoh berilgan. Husayniy san&#8217;atlarni lafziy, ma&#8217;naviy va lafziyu ma&#8217;naviyga ajratadiki, bu oldingi adabiyotshunoslar kitoblarida uchramaydi. Badiiy san&#8217;atlarga misol qilib 50 ga yaqin shoir ijodidan namunalar berilgan, o&#8217;z ijodidan esa taxminan 700 bayt she&#8217;r keltirilgan. Husayniy kitobida 147 ta san&#8217;at berilgan va shundan 32 tasini olimning o&#8217;zi kashf etgan. U turli munosabat bilan asarda Navoiy nomini tez-tez tilga olgan, unga atab yozgan she&#8217;rlarini ilova qilgan. &#171;Badoyi&#8217; us-sanoyi'&#187;ni o&#8217;zbek tiliga Alibek Rustamov asliyatiga mos holda mukammal tarjima qilib, sharhu izohlar bilan nashr ettirgan.
