Vizual Astrofotometrda osmon yoritqichining yorug&#8217;ligi, to&#8217;g&#8217;rirog&#8217;i yulduz kattaligini avvaldan ma&#8217;lum bo&#8217;lgan yorug&#8217;lik manbai (elektr lampochkasi yoki yulduz) bilan solishtiriladi. Bunda elektr lampochkaga berilayotgan tok kuchlanishini o&#8217;zgartirish yoki nurlar yo&#8217;liga diafragma qo&#8217;yish usulidan foydalaniladi. Quyosh, oy, kometa va hokazolarning ravshanligini o&#8217;lchashda solishtirma manba sifatida elektr lampochka (ravshan ob&#8217;yektlar uchun) olinadi yoki radioaktiv elementlar yordamida ekranni yoritish usuli (xira ob&#8217;yektlar uchun) qo&#8217;llaniladi.
