Niobiy rudalari tarkibida muayyan miqdorda tantal bo&#8217;ladi. Niobiyning asosiy ruda minerallari: piroxlor, kolumbit, fergusonit, evksenit, loparit. Rudaning genetik tipiga qarab, shuningdek, tarkibida ftor, tsirkoniy, kamyob- yer elementlari, uran, toriy, litiy va boshqa minerallar mavjud. Niobiy rudalari konlari paydo bo&#8217;lishiga qarab ishqoriy va subishqoriy jinslar bilan bog&#8217;liq endogen va karbonatitlar hamda kolumbitli granitlardagi chiziqli va maydonli nurash po&#8217;stiga mansub, shuningdek allyuvial, delyuvial- allyuvial, ko&#8217;l va flyuvial-glyasial sochmali ekzogen konlarga bo&#8217;linadi. Dunyo bo&#8217;yicha jami niobiy zaxiralarining 2\/3 qismi piroxlorli karbonatit konlariga to&#8217;g&#8217;ri keladi. Bulardan eig yiriklari Braziliya, Kanada va boshqa mamlakatlarda. Barcha konlardan ruda ochiq usulda qazib olinadi.
