Shu xrlatlarning har biri polimorf modifikasiya deyiladi. Har bir modifikasiya tuzilishi va Fi- zik xossalari jihatidan bir-biridan farq qiladi. Ular a, r, u va b. yunon harflari b-n belgilanadi. P. 1798 y.da kashf qilingan. Oddiy moddalar, shuningdek, organik va anorganik birikmalar P. xusu-siyati- ga ega. Ikki modifikasiya- ning turg&#8217;un sohasi umumiy chegaraga ega bo&#8217;lsa, beqaror xrlatdan turg&#8217;un holatga o&#8217;tish qaytar (enantiotrop) almashinish, umumiy chegaraga ega bo&#8217;lmasa, qaytmas (monotrop) almashinish bo&#8217;ladi. Mac, rombik tizimda kristallanadigan Arago- nit (SaSO3) qizdirilsa, trigo-nalsin- goniyada kristallangan kaltsit (SaSO3) ga aylanadi. Pekin kaltsitni qizdirish yo&#8217;li b-n aragonitga aylantirish mumkin emas.
