Yuksak o&#8217;simliklarda 3 xil-ga: yashil xloroplastlar (XP), rangsiz leyko- plastlar (LP) va rangli xromo-plastlar (XR)ga bo&#8217;linadi. XP \u2014 Lin-zasimon yoki sharsimon tangachalar, o&#8217;lchami 4-6 mkm; tarkibida 50% ga yaqin oqsillar, 35% lipidlar va 7% pigmentlar, shuning- dek, ozroq dezok-siribonuklein kislota (DNK) va ri-bonuklein kislota (RNK) bor. Yuksak o&#8217;simliklarda XP pigment- lari yashil a va v xlorofillar hamda ka- rotinoidlardan iborat. Xpdagi DNKlar yadro DNK sidan farq kiladi va ko&#8217;kyashil suvo&#8217;tlar hamda bakteriyalar DNKsiga o&#8217;xshaydi. LP-rangsiz, dumaloq yoki cho&#8217;ziq mayda tanachalar bo&#8217;lib, o&#8217;simliklarning hamma tirik hujayralarida mavjud. Lpda oddiy organik birikmalardan bir- muncha murakkab moddalar (kraxmal va b.) sintezlanadi. LP to&#8217;planadigan modda- lariga qarab amiloplastlar, eleoplast- lar va proteinoplastlarga bo&#8217;linadi. XR dumaloq, noto&#8217;g&#8217;ri ko&#8217;p qirrali yoki igna- Simon shaklda; tarkibida kuzgi barglar, gul-yonbargchalar, pomidor, chetan, Marva- ridgul va b.ning pishayotgan mevalariga sariq, qizil rang beradigan karotino- idlar bor.
