M.da shahar va qishloq quyi tabaqalarining hayoti aks ettirilgan. Tomoshalari she&#8217;riy va na- sriy dialog va monologlardan, kulgili qo&#8217;shiq va raqslardan tashkil topgan, ko&#8217;cha va maydonlarda, keyinroq sahnalarda ko&#8217;rsatilgan. M. artistlari niqobsiz o&#8217;ynagan. M. mahalliy xalqning masxara- bozlik teatri tomoshalari b-n qo&#8217;shilib rivojlandi. M. teatrining shakli, este- tik printsiplari ma&#8217;lum o&#8217;zgarishlar b-n bizgacha etib kelgan. 19-a. oxiri -20 a. boshlarida o&#8217;zbek aktyorlarining reper- tuaridagi &#171;Dungon osh&#187;, &#171;xum o&#8217;g&#8217;risi&#187;, &#171;Qoro-vul uyqusi&#187;, &#171;ov&#187; kabi tomosha- lar, Xorazm xalq teatrida hozirgacha saqlanib kelgan bir aktyor teatri bunga misoldir; 2) M. tomoshalarini ijro etuvchi aktyor ham M. deb atalgan. O&#8217;zbek an&#8217;anaviy teatridagi taqlid (teatr) va muqallid (aktyor) kelib chiqishiga ko&#8217;ra, M. san&#8217;atining davomchisidir, degan qarash mavjud; 3) zamonaviy te-ATRda \u2014 pantomima ijrochisi.
