Poytaxt Toshkentni mamlakatning eng Jan.da joylash- gan Termiz sh. b-n bog&#8217;laydi. Toshkent, Samarqand, Qashqadaryo, Surxondaryo viloyatlari aholisining tashabbusi- ni e&#8217;tiborga olib hamda Mirzacho&#8217;lda yangi erlar o&#8217;zlashtirib, paxtazorlarga ay-lantirilishi, Samarqand viloyatida paxta va don etishtirishni ko&#8217;paytirish, Qashqadaryo, Surxondaryo viloyatlari- ning tog&#8217;li tumanlari b-n transport aloqasini yaxshilash maqsadida 1940 y. respublika hukumati uz. 724 km bo&#8217;lgan K.O&#8217;.t.ni qurish to&#8217;g&#8217;risida maxsus qaror qabul qilgan (trakt qurilishiga qadar shu yo&#8217;nalishda o&#8217;tgan karvon yo&#8217;llari mil. AV. 5-a.dan ma&#8217;lum bo&#8217;lgan. 19-a. ning2-yarmidan 1940 y.largacha &#171;uezd-po- chta yo&#8217;li&#187; nomi b-n atalgan). K.O&#8217;.t. 1940-41-y.larda hashar usu- lida qurilgan, uni qurishda yo&#8217;l bo&#8217;ylab joylashgan 41 tuman mehnatkashlari qatnashgan. Trakt o&#8217;z vaqtida Respubli- kada eng yirik, shuningdek, eng shinam yo&#8217;llardan biri bo&#8217;lib, O&#8217;zbekiston hududini shim.dan Jan.ga kesib o&#8217;tgan, 8 shahar va 6 yirik viloyatlar hududi orqali o&#8217;tib, viloyatlar ma&#8217;muriy Mar- kazlarini o&#8217;zaro bog&#8217;lagan, iqtisodiyotda muhim o&#8217;rin tutgan. 1960-80 y.larda O&#8217;zbekistonda xalq xo&#8217;jaligi va sanoatning rivojlanishi, transportga bo&#8217;lgan talabning oshishi, yo&#8217;llarda harakat jadalligining keskin ko&#8217;payishi natijasida ko&#8217;plab xalqaro va davlat ahamiyatiga ega bo&#8217;lgan avtomobil yo&#8217;llari qurildi. Mavjud yo&#8217;llar esa talab darajasida qayta ta&#8217;mirlanib, kengaytirilib, yangidan titul raqam be- rilib qaytadan nomlandi. Hozir sobiq K.O&#8217;.t. xalqaro ahamiyatli magistral avtomobil yo&#8217;llarining ay- Rim qismlariga bo&#8217;linib ketgan: M-34\u2014 &#171;Toshkent-Dushanba&#187; avtomagistra- lining Toshkentdan Xovosgacha qismi (160 km); A-376 \u2014 &#171;Qo&#8217;qon-Konibodom- Xo&#8217;jand-Jizzax&#187; avtomagistralining Xovosdan Jizzaxgacha qismi (90 km); M-39 \u2014 &#171;Olmaota-Bishkek-Toshkent- Samarqand-Termiz&#187; (1475 km) avtomagi- stralining Jizzaxdan Termizgacha qismi (474 km). 90-y.lardan boshlab trakt yo&#8217;nalishi xalqaro miqyosdagi magistral yo&#8217;llarga aylandi, kengaytirilib, obo- donlashtirildi, yo&#8217;l bo&#8217;ylarida ko&#8217;plab zamonaviy yonilg&#8217;i quyish shoxobchalari, kemping-motellar, yo&#8217;l-industriya kor- xonalari, chet ellar b-n hamkorlikda qo&#8217;shma korxonalar barpo etildi. Trakt chet mamlakatlar turistik tran- zit aloqalarida ham muhim o&#8217;rin tuta- Di. Yo&#8217;ldagi avtomobillarning kunlik qatnov jadalligi 10000-15000 avtomo- Bilga teng.
