Biologik ob&#8217;- ektlar strukturaviy S.sini aniklash ularning tashqi ko&#8217;rinishi va ichki tu- zilishini aniq tavsif etish imkonini beradi. Strukturaviy S. biologik ob&#8217;- ektlar struktura elementlarining izchil takrorlanishi tarzida namoyon bo&#8217;ladi. Strukturaviy S.ga ko&#8217;ra, ob&#8217;ektning simmetrik ko&#8217;rinishi uning struktura elementlari, ya&#8217;ni ob&#8217;ektning bir xil qismlari tartibini belgilovchi geome- trik elementlar (nuqta, chiziq, tekisli- klar) b-n ta&#8217;riflanadi. Floks o&#8217;simligi gulining S.si bunga misol bo&#8217;la oladi. Kapalak gavdasi S.si uni o&#8217;ng va chap deb ataladigan 2 qismga, ya&#8217;ni tekislikka bo&#8217;lib turadi. Bunday tekislikning har biri ikkinchisining ko&#8217;zgudagi aksiga aynan o&#8217;xshash bo&#8217;ladi. Tirik tabiatda S.ning bir necha xili uchraydi. Tirik tabiatning tarixiy rivojlanishi davomida S. shakli ham o&#8217;zgarib borgan. Mac, tiriklik rivojla- nishning ilk davrlarida nuqtali S.li, to&#8217;g&#8217;ri ko&#8217;p burchakli va sharsimon S.li organizmlar keng tarqalgan. Evolyusi- yaning yuqori bosqichlarida o&#8217;simlik va hayvonlar uchun, asosan, aksial S. va AK- tinomorf S. xos. Aksial S.li organizm- lar p tartibli S. o&#8217;qiga ega. Aktinomorf S.li bioob&#8217;ektlar esa p tartibli S. o&#8217;qi va bu o&#8217;qni kesib o&#8217;tgan t ta tekislikka ega bo&#8217;ladi. Tirik tabiatda asimmetriya va ikki tomonlama, ya&#8217;ni bilateral S. keng tarqalgan. Asimmetriya ko&#8217;pchilik o&#8217;simlik turlarining barglari, ikki to- monlama S. odam, umurtqali hayvonlar va ko&#8217;pchilik umurtqasizlar uchun xos.
