S.a. qad. xalqog&#8217;zaki ijo-Di an&#8217;analariga ega. &#171;Mahabharatatmng Sindh tilidagi varianti S.a.ning eng qad. yodgorligi hisoblanadi (9-10-a. lar). Sindh yozma adabiyotining qadimiy namunalari Samar sulolasi hukmronligi davri (1051\u2014 1351)ga to&#8217;g&#8217;ri keladi (bu davr shoirlari orasida mashhuri Shayx Hamad bin Rashididdin Jamoliydir). Ilk Sindh she&#8217;riyati, asosan, diniymi- stik ruhda bo&#8217;lib, an&#8217;anaviy hind she&#8217;r tizimi (shloka)da yozilgan. 16-a.da Sindda arg&#8217;unlar, so&#8217;ngratarxonlar sulolasi hukmronlik qilib, fors tili saroy tiliga aylangan. Sindh tili esa o&#8217;z mavqeini yo&#8217;qota bosh- lagan. Adabiyot xalq og&#8217;zaki ijodi b-n yana ham yaqinlashgan. Hindumusulmon madaniy sintezi Shoh Abdulkarim bula- riy, Maxdum No&#8217;hxalakundiy kabi sho- irlarning she&#8217;rlarida yaqqol aks etgan. 18-a.da mahalliy kalharlar sulolasi hokimiyatga kelgach, Sindh tilida ijod qiluvchi shoirlarga homiylik qildi. Shu davrda sindhadabiyotining klassi- gi Shoh Abdullatif Bhitaining ijodi gullab yashnadi. U Sachal Sarmast, Samiy va b. b-n birga o&#8217;rta asr S.a.ni yuksak cho&#8217;qqilarga ko&#8217;tardi. Asl sindhiy she&#8217;r shakllari kafiy va Do&#8217;ha o&#8217;rnini fors she&#8217;riy janrlari egallay boshladi. In- glizlar Sindni zabt etganidan keyin (1843) fors tilining ta&#8217;siri ayniqsa kuchaydi. 19-a.ning oxirlarida Sindda ma&#8217;- rifatchilik harakati vujudga keldi. Fors, urdu, Bengal va ingliz tillaridan tarjimalar paydo bo&#8217;ldi. S.a.da nasriy janrlar ancha kech shakllandi. Mirzo Qilichbek (1853-1929) Sindh tilida dastlabki &#171;go&#8217;zallik&#187; (1890) romanini yaratdi. U. Shekspir, R. Sheridan, G. Ib- sen pesalarini, Umar Xayyomning rubo- iylarini bu tilga erkin tarjima kildi. Birok,, professional teatrning yo&#8217;kligi dramaturgiyaning rivojiga xalaqit ber- Di. Havaskor truppalar, asosan, &#171;Ramaya- na&#187; va &#171;Maxabharata&#187; syujetlari asosi- da yozilgan pesalarni qo&#8217;yardi. 20-a.ning 30y.larida S.a.da taraqqiyparvar realistik yo&#8217;nalish Vu- judga keldi. Unga Hind taraqqiyparvar yozuvchilari assosiasiyasi katta ta&#8217;sir ko&#8217;rsatdi. Hindiston taqsimlanganidan keyin (1947) shu paytgacha yagona bo&#8217;lgan S.a. endi 2 davlatda rivojlana boshla- Di. Pokistonda Sindh adiblari, asosan, &#171;Mehran&#187; jur., Hindistonda esa \u2014 &#171;Hindvasiy&#187;, &#171;nayi dunya&#187;, &#171;Kahaniy&#187; va b. jurnallar tevaragiga jipslashdi. Hindistondan Narayan Shyam, Anchal. Mahbubiy, Go&#8217;bind Malhiy, Pokiston- dan Bevas, Ayoz Shayx, Murod Ali Kozim, Haydar baxsh Jato&#8217;y kabi shoirlar. Ja- miluddin Abro&#8217;, Tanvir Abbosiy, Qurbon Ali Buggiy, Rashid Bhattiy va b. adiblar hoz. zamon S.a.ning yirik vakillaridir.
