Ular eri- maydi, elektrolit eritmalari organik erituvchilarda chegaralangan miqdorda bo&#8217;kadi, suvli va suvsiz organik erit-ma- larda ion almashtiradi. Ionitlarning umumiy tasnifga muvofiq, I.a.s. kation almashtiruvchi (polikislotalar), anion almashtiruvchi (poliasoslar) va amfoter yoki bipolyar (poli-amfiliotlar) tur- larga bo&#8217;linadi. Kation almashtiruvchi smolalar kuchli va kuchsiz kislotali, anion almashtiruvchi smolalar esa kuch- li va kuchsiz asosli bo&#8217;ladi. Smolalarda faqat bir xil ionogen guruhlar (mas, sulfoguruh) bo&#8217;lsa \u2014 monofunktsional guruhlar deb, har xil ionogen guruhlar bo&#8217;lsa \u2014 polifunktsional guruhlar deb ataladi. I. a. s. ga erimaydigan polielek- trolitlaraeb qarash mumkin. Poli- valent (ko&#8217;p zaryadli) ion mol. katta bo&#8217;lganidan amalda qarakatlanmaydi. I. a. s. poli-merlanish, polikondensatla- nish yo&#8217;li b-n yoki ionit xossalariga ega bo&#8217;lmagan polimerii kimyoviy ishlash yo&#8217;li b-n olinadi.
