O&#8217;zbek adabiy fantastikasinkng asoschilaridan biri. Toshkent untining kechki jurnalistika f-tini tugatgan (1969). Quruvchi (1963-64), maktabda o&#8217;qituvchi (1965\u2014 66) bo&#8217;lib ishlagan. &#171;Lenin uchquni&#187; gaz., &#171;Guliston&#187; (1975-78), G&#8217;afur G&#8217;ulom nomidagi nashriyotda mug&#8217;arrir (1981-82), &#171;Cho&#8217;lpon&#187; nashriyotida bosh muharrir (1985-87), &#171;Sharq yulduzi&#187; (1982-85), &#171;Yoshlik&#187; (1989\u2014 91) jurnalilarida adabiy xodim, mas&#8217;ul kotib, bosh muharrir, O&#8217;zbekiston Yozuvchilar uyushmasida kotib (1988\u2014 90). Birinchi yirik asari \u2014 &#171;Hikmat afandining o&#8217;limi&#187; (1972). &#171;Zaharli g&#8217;ubor&#187; (1974), &#171;falak&#187; (1975), &#171;somon yo&#8217;li elchilari&#187; (1978), &#171;Chorrahada qolgan odamlar&#187; (1982), &#171;Bir ko&#8217;cha, bir kecha&#187; (1983), &#171;Alvido, bolalik&#187; (1989), &#171;so&#8217;nggi o&#8217;q&#187; (1990), &#171;Ov&#187; (1995) kabi ilmiy-fantastik, sarguzasht qissalari mashhur. &#171;So&#8217;nggi o&#8217;q&#187; kissasi asosida 7 qismli telefilm (1994) yaratilgan. &#171;Qaldirg&#8217;och&#187; (1987) epik asari Abdulla Avloniy taqdiri misolida 20-y.lar o&#8217;zbek ziyolilarining shakllanishi haqida bahs yuritadi. &#171;Shaytanat&#187; romani (1kitob, 1992; 2kitob, 1995; 3kitob, 1997; 4kitob, 2000) T.M.ning yirik asarlaridan. Asar asosida ko&#8217;p seriyali telefilm yaratildi. Romanda turli qiyofadagi zamondoshlarimizning obrazlari yorqin lavhalarda katta mahorat bilan chizilgan, muhim ma&#8217;naviyaxloqiy muammolar ko&#8217;tarilgan. Asarda jinoyat olamidagi voqealar fonida asosiy e&#8217;tibor asar qahramonlarining ruhiy dunyosini taxlil etishga karatilgan. Kishilarni jinoyatning razil olamidan ehtiyot bo&#8217;lishga chaqiruvchi ushbu ogohlantiruvchi asar mazmuni T.M.ning &#171;jinoyatning uzun yo&#8217;li&#187; (2004) ilmiytahliliy risolasida davom ettirilgan. &#171;Mexmon tuygular&#187; (2003) nomli xotira, yodnoma, adabiy maqolalar to&#8217;plamida adabiy jarayondagi muammolar aks etgan. T. M. ning yozuvchi Mirzakalon Ismoiliy ijodiy faoliyatini yorituvchi &#171;yozuvchining baxti va baxtsizligi&#187; (1988), Asqad Muxtor ijodini taxlil etuvchi &#171;Sobir&#187; (2003), O&#8217;lmas Umarbekov ijodiga bag&#8217;ishlangan &#171;Qiyomat qarz&#187; (2002) hamda Abdulla Qodiriy romanlari taxlil etilgan &#171;ibrat maktabi&#187; (1993) badialari xam bor. T.M. xujjatli kino sohasida xam faoliyat ko&#8217;rsatgan. Uning &#171;Amir Temur davri adabiyoti&#187; (1998), &#171;Varaxsha&#187; (1999), &#171;unvoni inson&#187; (1999), &#171;Sohilsiz dentiz&#187; (2000), &#171;zulmat saltanati&#187;, (2001), &#171;Moshtabib&#187; (2002) sienariylari asosida hujjatli filmlar ishlangan. Rus yozuvchisi F.M. Dostoevskiyning &#171;Ma&#8217;suma&#187; kissasini, shuningdek, jahon adabiyoti namoyandalarining ayrim asarlarini o&#8217;zbek tiliga tarjima qilgan.
