Turkiy xalqlar jang qilish san&#8217;ati namunasi sifatida qadimdan mashhur bo&#8217;lgan. Bu turdagi yakkamayakka kurashish usuli Amir Temur davrida takomiliga etgan. &#171;T.&#187;ya.k.ning zamonaviy qonunqoidalarini xalqaro miqyosdagi sport ustasi B. Saidov ishlab chiqdi (1991). Kurashchilar peshonaband belbog&#8217;bog&#8217;lab, yaktak, keng ishton kiyib musobaqalashadilar. Raqiblar maydonga chiqqanda qo&#8217;llarini yuqoriga ko&#8217;tarib, bir-birlariga kaftlarini ko&#8217;rsatishadi. Bu &#171;ko&#8217;rib qo&#8217;y, qo&#8217;limda hech narsa yo&#8217;q, halol kurashaman&#187; degan ma&#8217;noni bildiradi. &#171;T.&#187;ya.k.ning ikki: jang va erkin mashq yo&#8217;nalishi bor. Jan g yo&#8217;nalishi bo&#8217;yicha bellashuv 2 qismdan iborat bo&#8217;lib, har bir qismi 5 min.dan bo&#8217;ladi, katta yoshdagi sportchilar uchun 1 raund 5 min. ni tashkil qiladi. Qolgan yoshdagilar uchun 1 raund 2-3 min. davom etadi. Bu yo&#8217;nalishda g&#8217;alaba va sof g&#8217;alaba bor. G&#8217;alaba raqibiga ko&#8217;p zarba berib eng ko&#8217;p ball yiqqan o&#8217;yinchiga, sof g&#8217;alaba esa raqibi zarba olganda gangisa, behol holatga tushib qolsa yoki bo&#8217;g&#8217;ma usuli bilan yutganda berilishi mumkin. Erkin mashq yo&#8217;nalishi bitta va bir necha sportchi (jamoa) bilan bajariladigan maigklar bo&#8217;lib, 1,5 min. davom etadi. Mashqlar buyumsiz va buyumlar bilan bajariladi. Eng ko&#8217;p ball to&#8217;plagan o&#8217;yinchi yoki jamoa g&#8217;olib chiqadi. Qilich, gimnastika tayog&#8217;i, arqon kabi buyum bilan bajariladigan ko&#8217;rgazmali mashklar bilan chiqishlari mumkin. U sportchining texnik usullarni qanchalik egallaganligi va jismoniy chiniqqanligini namoyish etadi. Bu chiqishlar ham ball bilan baholanadi. O&#8217;zbekistonda &#171;T.&#187;ya.k. federasiyasi tuzilgan (1995). Har yili Toshkent sh. birinchiligi va O&#8217;zbekiston chempionata musobaqalari o&#8217;tkaziladi. &#171;T.&#187;ya.k. &#171;Alpomish o&#8217;yinlari&#187; festivali dasturidan joy olgan. Bu sport turi bo&#8217;yicha O&#8217;zbekistonda 10 mingdan ortiq kishi muntazam shug&#8217;ullanadi. 5 xalqaro sport ustasi, 30 dan ortiq sport ustasi tayyorlandi (2004). &#171;T.&#187;ya.k. xalqaro miqyosda tan olinmoqda. AQSh, Germaniya, Isroil, Niderlandiya, Ukraina, Latviya, Moldaviya, Belorussiya va b. mamlakatlarda &#171;T.&#187;ya.k. sport sektsiyalari ochilgan. 1rasmiy xalqaro turnir o&#8217;tkazilib (1996, Toshkent), unda A. Kenjaboev (Qozog&#8217;iston), Ch. Mergenov (Turkmaniston), T. Fattoxrv, A. Rabinovich (O&#8217;zbekiston), D.
