G.da dastlab o&#8217;xshash bo&#8217;lgan or- ganlarda divergentsiya tufayli yangi mor- fologik belgilar paydo bo&#8217;ladi. Mac, dastlabki umurtqali xayvonlarning oldingi oyoklari evolyusiya jarayoni- da yangi morfologik belgilarni hosil qilishi tufayli yurish, yugurish, er qazish, tutish, suzish, uchish va b. funk- tsiyani bajarishga moslashgan. Lekin filogenetik jihatdan o&#8217;xshash bo&#8217;lishi tufayli ularning hammasi bir xil suyaklar: elka, bilak, tirsak, kaftol- Di, kaft, barmoq suyaklaridan iborat. G. o&#8217;simliklar uchun ham xos. No&#8217;xatning gajaklari, zirk va kaktuennng tikanla- ri shakli o&#8217;zgargan barg hisoblanadi. &#171;G.&#187;terminini nemis zoologi R. Ouen (1843) fanga kiritgan, uning evolyu- tsion mohiyati esa Ch. Darvinning EVO- lyusion ta&#8217;limoti vujudga kelgandan so&#8217;ng ma&#8217;lum bo&#8217;ldi. Har xil sistema- tik guruhlarga mansub turlarda or- ganlar g.si mavjudligining isboti 3 mezon: organlarning morfologik tuzi- lishi, ularning organizmda joylani- shi va morfogenezi (morfologik kelib chiqishi) o&#8217;xshashligi b-n belgilanadi. 20-a.da &#171;g.&#187;termini gomologik organ- larning shakllanishiga olib keluvchi genetik tuzilish (genlar g.si) va mor- fogenez jarayonlarini tavsiflashda ham qo&#8217;llanila boshlandi. Ammo murakkab fenotipik belgilar bitta gen emas, bal- ki o&#8217;zaro ta&#8217;sir ko&#8217;rsatadigan bir necha gen nazoratida bo&#8217;lganligi, bir genning o&#8217;zgarishi boshqa gen b-n bog&#8217;liqligi tu- fayli o&#8217;zaro qarindosh bo&#8217;lgan turlarda genlar g.si b-n organlar g.si o&#8217;rtasida bevosita moslik bo&#8217;lmasligi mumkin.
