Avstriya \u2014 1809.31.5, Vena) \u2014 Avstriya kompozitori, kapelmeyster, Vena klassik maktabinsht yirik vakili. 24 ta opera, 100 dan ortiq simfoniya, turli cholg&#8217;ular uchun 35 kontsert, diniy kantata va messalar, fortepiano sonatalari, turli tarkibdagi kamer ansambllar (shu jumladan, 83 torli kvartet) va b. asarlariing muallifi. &#171;Dunyoning yaratilishi&#187; (1798) va &#171;yil fasllari&#187; (1801) oratoriyalari hamda 1796-1802 y.larda yaratilgan messalar g. ijodining cho&#8217;qqisidir. Ayrim asarlari (&#171;kutilmagan uchrashuv&#187; operasi, 1775)da Shark, mavzularini ekzotik tarzda ifoda etgan. G. o&#8217;z ijodida Avstriya, Venger, xorvat, italyan va b. xalqlar qo&#8217;shiqlari va raqs kuylaridan keng foydalangan. Asarlariga yorqin va jozibali obrazlarning xilma-xilligi, musiqa tilining soddaligi b-n birga g&#8217;oyaviy butunlik, musiqa rivoji usullarining mukammalligi xos.
