Russo (gips, 1778), Vol- ter (marmar byust, 1778; marmar haykal, 1781), o. Mirabo (terrakota, 1791) va b. portretlar muallifi. G. portretlari- dagi o&#8217;tkir va ko&#8217;p qirrali psixologik Tavsifning o&#8217;ziga xosligi, portretdagi ma&#8217;noli qarashlar bevosita tomoshabin- ga qaratilganligi b-n diqqatni torta- Di. Ayniqsa ayollar va bolalar qiyofasi sodda va tabiiyligi b-n ajralib turadi (&#171;Rafiqam portreti&#187;, gips, 1787, Luvr va b.). G. frantsuz inqilobi namoyanda- lari va ma&#8217;rifatparvarlarining yorqin qiyofalarini yaratgan.
