G. \u2014 M. h. germetik berk tsilin- drik idish bo&#8217;lib, uning o&#8217;qi bo&#8217;ylab in- gichka sim (katod) tortilgan. Tsilindrik idish (anod vazifasini bajaradi) 0,1 \u2014 0,2 ATM bosimgacha gaz (havo, vodorod, geliy, argon va h. k.) b-n to&#8217;ldiriladi, unda zarralar tushadigan kichik teshik bo&#8217;ladi (1-rasm). G.\u2014M. h. ni ulash sxe- masi 2-rasmda berilgan; bunda: Vo \u2014 gaz razryadi hosil qiluvchi boshlang&#8217;ich po- tentsial; g.\u2014M. h. da potentsial V gacha (V = 500 \u2014 1000 V) ortadi, hisoblagichga tushgan zaryadlangan zarra gazni ion- lashtiradi va tok razryad (chaqnash) hosil qiladi, natijada hisoblagichda 10&#8242; \u2014 10&#8243;6 s da bir juft ion paydo bo&#8217;ladi. Bu tok impulsi kuchaytirgichga beriladi, so&#8217;ngra elektromagnit hisoblagich uni qayd qiladi. G.\u2014M. h. ga tushgan har bir zarra tok impulsini hosil qiladi va har safar qayd qilinadi (qayd qilish vaqti yu&#187;4\u2014 10&#8243;3 s). G. \u2014 M. h. fizi- ka, biol., tibbiyot, sanoat va texnikaning bir qancha sohalarida keng ishlatiladi.
