Yaponiya, AQSh, Ispaniya, Hindiston va 5 mamlakatlarda ekiladi, shuningdek Zakavkaze, O&#8217;rta Osiyo (Turkmaniston, Tojikiston) da o&#8217;stiriladi. Hosildorligi 200 \u2014 300 tsentner\/gektar. Batat kartoshkasi qalamchasidan ko&#8217;paytiriladi. Fevral\u2014mart oylarida issiqxonalarda kartoshkasidan chiqqan o&#8217;simtalardan qalamcha tayyorlab, parniklarda ildiz ottiriladi. Ko&#8217;chatlari may oyida qator orasini 70 \u2014 80 santimetr, qatordagi tup orasini 30 \u2014 40 santimetr qilib o&#8217;tqaziladi. Ko&#8217;chat atrofi yumshatilib, o&#8217;g&#8217;itlab turiladi, 12-14 marta sug&#8217;oriladi. Sentabr\u2014 oktabr oylarida palagi o&#8217;rilib, keyin kartoshkasi kavlab olinadi.
