Mintaqaning birinchi Bioiqlim atlasi (&#171;Bioklimaticheskiy atlas Sredney Azii&#187;) 1973 yilda V. A. Bugayev nomidagi O&#8217;rta Osiyo Gidrometeorologiya ilmiy tadqiqot institutida tayyorlangan. Atlas mintaqa hududida o&#8217;tkazilgan ko&#8217;p yillik bioiqlimiy va meteorologik tadqiqotlar hamda kuzatishlar natijasida to&#8217;plangan materiallar asosida tuzilgan 136 xaritadan iborat. Atlasda (yilning har bir oyi uchun o&#8217;rtacha quyosh vaqti bilan soat 13 da): havo harorati; to&#8217;g&#8217;ri quyosh radiasiyasi intensivligi; odam tanasining qisqa to&#8217;lqinli, uzun to&#8217;lqinli va umumiy radiasiya balansi; odam tanasi bilan havo o&#8217;rtasidagi konvektiv issiqlik almashinuvi; terlash natijasida sarf bo&#8217;ladigan issiqlik va suv, jumladan, ochiq havoda 1 va 2 ish smenasida terlash orqali sarflangan suv miqdorining yig&#8217;indisi; ekvivalent samarali harorat va boshqalar. Atlasda odam issiqlik balansi usulining nazariy asoslari, ularda bioiqlimiy ko&#8217;rsatkichlarning fazoviy taqsimlanishidagi asosiy qonuniyatlar bayon etilgan.
