Musiqiy impressionizm asoschisi. Parij konservatoriyasida ta&#8217;lim olib (1872-84) yurgan paytlarida Rim mukofotiga sazovor bo&#8217;lgan. 1885-86 yillari Rimda, 1887 yildan Parijda yashagan. Pianinochi va dirijyor sifatida bir nechta mamlakatlarda kontsert bergan. Impressionizm va Sharq musiqasi ta&#8217;sirida shakllangan uslubi musiqiy-tasviriy vositalarning yorqinligi va nafisligi, garmoniya va cholg&#8217;ulashtirish usullari yangiligi, kuylari nozik va go&#8217;zalligi bilan ajralib turadi. &#171;Pelleas va Melizanda&#187; (M.
