Diffuziya qonunlariga asoslangan. Dializatorlarda olib boriladi. Oddiy dializator distillangan suv saqlanadigan idish (3) va suvga botib turadigan shisha tsilindr (1) dan iborat. Shisha tsilindrning og&#8217;zi ochiq bo&#8217;lib, tubi parda \u2014 membrana (2) bilan to&#8217;silgan. Tsilindrga tozalanadigan kolloid eritma quyiladi. Idishdagi suv tsilindr devorlarini yuvib, muttasil oqib turadi. Kolloid eritmaning ion va molekulalari tsilindr tagidagi pardadan o&#8217;tib, suvning ion va molekulalari bilan almashinadi. Bu jarayon juda sekin o&#8217;tadi. Ionlarning diffuziyalanish jarayonini elektr maydon ta&#8217;sirida tezlashtirish mumkin. Elektr dializator dializlanadigan sistemalarni elektrolitlardan tozalashni bir necha o&#8217;n marta tezlatadi. Dializ sanoatda turli moddalarni tozalashda ishlatiladi.
