Musiqa o&#8217;lchovi 2\/4, sur&#8217;ati o&#8217;rtacha, ritmikasi o&#8217;ziga xos urg&#8217;u (sinkopa)lar bilan ajratiladi. Ijrochilar juft bo&#8217;lib, bir-birining yelkalarini ushlab raqsga tushadi. 1910-yillarda Parijda argentincha Tango asosida yevropacha Tango rivoj topib, o&#8217;ziga xos, alohida ehtiros bilan ijro etiladigan salon va estrada raqsi (keyinchalik, kuy va ashula) sifatida butun dunyoda tarkaldi. Ritmikasi oxirgi sakkiztalik hissadagi keskin urg&#8217;usi bilan ajralib turadi. O&#8217;zbek estrada san&#8217;atiga 1950-yillar oxirida B. Zokirov ijrosidagi &#171;Arabcha Tango&#187; (suriyalik bastakor daris al Atrashning Ya. Frenkel Kanta ishlagan ashulasi) bilan kirib Kolli. Keyinchalik, A. Nazarov (&#171;ket, muhabbat&#187;, N. Hamroqulov), A. Rasulov (&#171;Dilerom&#187;, G&#8217;.
