Bunda muayyan zamonaviy va tarixiy mavzular, insonning ichki dunyosi, kechinmalari, histuyg&#8217;ulari musiqa asosida, raqs harakatlari vositalari bilan aks ettiriladi. 1984 yil oktyabr oyida O&#8217;zteleradiokompaniyasi qoshida raqs ansambli sifatida 16 raqqosa va 2 raqqos bilan ish boshlagan. Tashkilotchisi va badiiy rahbari Yulduz Ismatova. Jamoa 1997 yildan &#171;O&#8217;zbekraqs&#187; milliy birlashmasi tarkibida. &#171;Sharq ayoli&#187; deb atalgan birinchi dasturda &#171;Munojot&#187;, &#171;Afg&#8217;oncha&#187;, &#171;Anoranor&#187;, &#171;Raqqosa keldi&#187;, &#171;parvoz ayladi&#187;, &#171;Xorazmcha&#187;, &#171;doyra&#187;, &#171;Arabcha&#187;, &#171;Ey sarvi ravon&#187;, &#171;Rok uforisi qashqarchasi&#187;, &#171;O&#8217;xshar&#187; raqslari hamda ikki yoshning sevgi izhori, sovchi kutish, non ushatish, kelin salom, beshik to&#8217;yi kabi etnografik lavhalar asosida o&#8217;ziga xos spektakl yaratishga g&#8217;arakat qilindi. Keyingi &#171;gul sayli&#187; nomli dastur ham shu yo&#8217;nalishda yaratildi. Tom ma&#8217;nodagi raqs teatri Navoiyning &#171;Sab&#8217;ai sayyor&#187; dostoni asosida yaratilgan &#171;Sevgi nidosi&#187; (libretto muallifi M.Boboev; Q.Komilov musiqasi, 1991) spektakli bilan boshlanadi. Navoiyning asl matni va g&#8217;oyalariga tayangan holda Baxrom (N. Xotamov) va Dilorom (N. Saidova) ning sevgi fojiasi yoritiladi. Barcha voqealar, qahramonlarning iztiroblari, his-tuyg&#8217;ulari raqs harakatlari, plastika, yuz ifodalari, nigohlari orqali aks ettiriladi. Baletmeyster Yu. Ismatova, asosan, Farg&#8217;ona raqs uslubiga tayangan holda o&#8217;rni-o&#8217;rnida boshqa uslublarga ham murojaat qildi, ba&#8217;zan baletning oyoquchida yurishidan foydalandi. Shu yo&#8217;nalishda teatr M. Bafoev bilan hamkorlikda &#171;Nodira&#187; (1992), &#171;Ulug&#8217;bek burji&#187; (1994), &#171;qadimiy marosimlar&#187; (1995), A.Ikromov musiqasi asosida &#171;Temuriy malikalar&#187; (1995), &#171;Sharq taronalari&#187; (1997), Q.Komilov musiqasi asosida &#171;Uvaysiy&#187; (1998), A.Mansurov musiqasi asosida &#171;sirli quticha&#187; (2000), &#171;Zumrad va qimmat&#187; (2001), xalq kuylari va so&#8217;zlari asosida &#171;Sevgi vasfi&#187; (9 ta &#171;Tanavor&#187; raqsi, 1995), &#171;ezgu niyat daraxti&#187; (2000), &#171;Moziydan sado&#187; (2001) spektakllari bilan teatr jamoasi milliy balet, milliy raqs tomoshasi yaratishda tajribasi ortib bordi. Teatr ijodiy jamoasi quyidagi yo&#8217;nalishlarda faoliyat ko&#8217;rsatdi: xalq og&#8217;zaki ijodiyoti, marosimlari, kuylari, raqslarini muayyan syujet ipiga terib teatrlashtirish; buyuk shoirlar, qahramon o&#8217;zbek ayollari hayoti va ijodiga bag&#8217;ishlangan raqs tomoshalari turkumini yaratish; xalq tarixini yoritish, buyuk sarkardalar hayoti va kurashi haqida hikoya qilish; bolalarga atab spektakllar yaratish. Teatr o&#8217;z milliy balet va teatrlashgan tomoshalarida mavjud barcha raqs uslublaridan foydalanish, e&#8217;tibor bermay kelingan xalq raqslari harakatlarini va tarixda bo&#8217;lgan ba&#8217;zi kompozitsiyalar, harakatlarni tiklash, ayni chog&#8217;da hoz. kunda jahon balet va raqs san&#8217;atida mavjud yangi izlanishlardan ilhomlanish yo&#8217;lidan bormokda. Har bir spektaklga maxsus liboslar, taqinchoklar, oyoq va bosh kiyimlar tikiladi. &#171;Tanavor&#187; raqs teatri O&#8217;zbekistonda o&#8217;tkaziladigan barcha bayramlar va tadbirlar (&#171;Navro&#8217;z&#187;, &#171;Sharq taronalari&#187; va b.)dan tashqari Frantsiyaning &#171;Odeon&#187; teatrida bo&#8217;lib o&#8217;tgan &#171;Nazm kechasi&#187;da, YUNESKO qarorgohida (1995), AQShda O&#8217;zbekiston kunlari doirasida (1998), Niderland xalqaro festivalida (1999) o&#8217;z dasturlarini namoyish etishdi. Teatrning eng muhim spektakllari telefilm qilib ishlangan. Teatr jamoasi: 34 raqqosa, 3 raqqrs, 12 sozanda, 2 xonandani birlashtirdi (2004). Raqqosalardan D.Mirzaeva, Z.Safarova, N.Yusupova, R.Jo&#8217;raboeva, U.Akromova O&#8217;zbekistonda xizmat ko&#8217;rsatgan artistlar; yosh raqqosalardan G. Abdieva, N.Qarshiboeva O&#8217;zbekiston Davlat &#171;Nihol&#187; mukofoti va Mukarrama Turg&#8217;unboeva mukofoti sovrindorlari.
