Tsentrioldan biri yetuk (onalik), 2-si yetilmagan (qizlik) bo&#8217;ladi. Qizlik Tsentriol ona Tsentriolning kichik nusxasi hisoblanadi. Interfazaning sintez yoki undan keyingi davrida Tsentriol 2 hissa ortadi. Mitoz profazasida diplosomalar bir-biridan itarilib, mitoz dukini hosil qiladi. Poliploid hujayralarda Tsentriollar soni xromosomalar to&#8217;plami soniga mos keladi. Tsentriol yuksak o&#8217;simliklar, ba&#8217;zi zamburug&#8217;lar, suvo&#8217;tlar va ayrim sodda hayvonlarda bo&#8217;lmaydi.
