Toshkent shahrida joylashgan. 1957 yilda O&#8217;zbekiston davlat nashriyoti adabiy-badiiy bo&#8217;limlari negizida tashkil etilgan, O&#8217;zbekiston davlat badiiy-adabiyot nashriyoti deb atalgan. 1964 yilda &#171;Toshkent&#187; badiiy adabiyot nashriyoti nomi berilgan. 1966 yildan G&#8217;afur G&#8217;ulom nomi bilan ataladi. 1970 yildan hozirgi nomda. Nashriyot tomonidan hozirgi va mumtoz o&#8217;zbek adabiyoti hamda folklor asarlari nashr etiladi.
